The Postgraduate Diploma in Personal Financial Planning (PFP) is a specialist programme designed to meet the tertiary education requirements for Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status from the Institute of Financial Advisors (IFA).
It is a professional postgraduate qualification designed for working professionals with experience in the finance industry.
There are currently two options in the New Zealand marketplace for participants to complete the tertiary education requirements for CFP status. The advantages of the Waikato programme are as follows:
- The programme is structured to allow you to fast track the CFPCM tertiary education requirements and complete them over approximately 2 years.
- The CFPCM required material is split into weekly assessments allowing busy people to manage and balance the education workload.
- The programme includes regular face to face workshops and online contact sessions supporting participants through the learning process.
- The Waikato programme is fundamentally different from other programmes where participants hit the books and cram to pass a significant final exam with limited face to face contact and direction.
